🐠 Kia Ceed 1.6 Crdi Clutch Problems

The problem appears to be the clutch friction plate I was told by a Kia Technician. Who also said he thought there had been an upgrade to the clutch. Kia say they only warranty their clutches for 2 years or 24000 miles which ever comes first. There's not any real issues with the 2.0 just the fact that it is an older engine than the 1.6, not massively faster, and has not only a particulate filter, but a cam belt and a dual-mass flywheel, all things to potentially go wrong that the quieter and smoother 1.6 of that age doesn't have. C. Have had a similar problem with my 62 plate Ceed. The clutch would take up on the floor and it was getting very difficult to select a gear the pedal was also very stiff. They said this would be replaced under warranty and I was shown the clutch plate after removeal which still showed plenty of life. 2 months on and Kia have changed their minds .
